Twenty Twenty-Fun
It wasn’t the year we hoped for, but it was a good one. I’m also still dipping my toes back into the blogging practice so I feel like I should share some updates or in Twitter speak, some personal news.
We moved Trevor back from 15 months in Louisiana. I also moved out of my home for the past 8 years into Trevor’s. It’s a big shift, we’re working on it. There was also a six week basement renovation that took five months and significantly impacted my ability to unpack. Feeling unsettled at home in the midst of feeling unsettled in the everything else in the world was hard. But construction-wise it’s finished. Everything is slowly but surely finding its place. We’re making decorating choices together and building a space that feels like our home vs Trevor’s house.
We went to TWO concerts. IN REAL LIFE. It was in that hopeful pocket and I’m so happy the two were Andrew McMahon and Bleachers.
The biggest and best update was the two weeks we spent in Hawaii. We toured gardens, beaches, volcanoes. Ate so many acai bowls, amazing seafood, delicious ramen. Trevor proposed in front of the Milky Way. I cried and maybe said yes or maybe just nodded. A shooting star was making an appearance as it happened. I think that’s a good sign.
